The One With The Plans

We have a lot of things going on right now. We are still getting settled into our new house. Still trying to short sale the old one. We are adjusting to Charming's lovely new work schedule when he doesn't get home until right before the sun peeks over the horizon. We are trying to find a way to pay for all the bills that keep popping up here and there (who knew knee surgeries were so expensive??) But most importantly, we are planning for our vacation.

That's right. Soon we will be without care or worries, living it up and drinking to our new found freedom. No uptight co-workers telling us how to do our jobs. No banks dragging their feet and refusing to realize the dire state of our finances. No paving trucks outside our window waking us up three hours after my husband gets home from work.

At least I hope we can relax. Since we have to keep calling dumbass WF twice a week to keep up on the progress of our file so they don't try to slip something past us again and then deny us for not contacting them. And I'm sure work will find a way to wiggle it's way into our fun since I expect to be called regarding working overtime when I get back. And with our luck there will be construction work going on outside the home we are staying at.

Because that's how things happen for us. Like waking up today with a mile long list of things to do before we leave and discovering the battery in Charming's brand-new Ford Mustang is completely dead and we can't get the car out of the garage because we can't get it out of park and my car won't fit in the garage next to his, at least not enough that he could get into to it to start it once the jumper cables are attached so we had to call AAA and get them to jump him with a portable jumper set and did I mention I got my period which was really not wanted because I didn't want to deal with that on vacation and more importantly it means I once again am not pregnant this month, but at least now I can drink while taking time off and try to forget that our life is currently in shambles.

Here's hoping we don't screw up our vacation as bad as things are in our "real" world.

We could use the break.

P.S. When I get back I have to seriously figure out how to increase the readership here. I lost everyone with my move. :(

Where are you going on vacation? I've been really limited on my internet usage these days and I'm out of the loop. Well, enjoy your time away! See... good things DO happen to you! You got to go to San Francisco not that long ago, and now wherever else you are... savor the positives, CP! It's REALLY important. Don't focus so much on what's wrong, and just R E L A X!!! :-)

I hope your vacation is so relaxing that you come back with smiles on your faces, walking on air.

My one regret on our vacation is that we flew instead of driving thru Vegas, rats. Next time!
